Iwona Van Niekerk is a Polish–Australian artist based in Perth, Western Australia. Born in Słupsk, Poland, she lived in Copenhagen and London before settling in Australia in 2010.

Working primarily in oil on linen, Van Niekerk creates geometric figurative paintings characterised by structured forms, recurring grid patterns and a palette drawn from the red earth of Western Australia.

Her work has been exhibited in group exhibitions and art awards across Western Australia and interstate, including Oxford Street Gallery, Ellis House Art Centre and Brunswick Street Gallery. In 2023, she received the People’s Choice Award at the City of Stirling Art Awards.

Van Niekerk is a member of the Western Australian Society of Arts, Art Conversations WA, Mundaring Arts Centre and Ellis House Art Centre.
